Now that we're entering this cost of software going to zero world, I think it's important to provide people with some guidance for how to get going. It's still a little bit technical to get set up well and actually produce and launch something that helps you out. That's not going to price-gouge you and is actually going to be really useful.

There are services like Lovable and Anywhere that are trying to jump the shark still and have users make websites and tools out of the box that do it all start to finish. I suspect we are less than a year away from these tools finally being killer apps, but there's still a bit more marketing and promise than they are delivery.

Whereas I think there's a lot more treasure to be found by giving people off-the-shelf, flexible systems that work. That they can play with, like using Cursor and Convex and Versatile together. You can create projects, interact with other systems, post another platforms, gather data, process that data. There's a lot of things that you can do that I think would still be quite difficult to package into a do-it-all-for-you service.
