🚀 Project

AsambleYa

A system for managing HOA's with liquid democratic principles.

Built with:Next.jsConvexClerk

I developed this project using an extensive combination of Cursor and Sonnet-4 in Max mode. It is built on a robust stack comprising Next.js, Convex, and Clerk, with the primary aim of fostering meaningful discussions within private living communities to enhance the social experiences of all residents. The feed area serves as a vibrant space where individuals can share insights about community happenings, announce important information, and promote small events they are hosting.

In addition to this, there is a dedicated problem section, designed as a forum for residents to engage in thoughtful dialogue about various issues. Here, community members can upvote or downvote concerns, facilitating a democratic approach to prioritizing discussions, while also enabling threaded conversations for deeper engagement. Following these discussions, we have the solution area where, after sufficient dialogue, members can begin proposing actionable solutions. When a proposal garners enough support, it becomes eligible for implementation, fostering a sense of ownership among residents.

An intriguing feature of this system is its delegation capability, allowing individuals who prefer not to be involved in every decision to select a trusted representative to act on their behalf. This representative can also delegate responsibilities, creating a tiered approach to decision-making that allows delegation to permeate throughout the community. This structure not only promotes active participation but also ensures that every voice can still resonate within the decision-making process, regardless of the level of involvement.
